VS Exhibit piece.

Hey everyone, just finished wrapping up my stuff for the gallery show this coming weekend. But here are the info and directions of the event:

BALTIMORE-BASED VIDEO GAME ARTISTS, COMIC BOOK ARTISTS, ILLUSTRATORS TACKLE VS. THEME IN EXHIBITION JUNE 5-JULY 31
Opening Reception Takes Place Friday, June 5 at The Windup Space in Station North

Baltimore-based artists working in the visual entertainment fields of video games, comic books and illustration will exhibit their personal work in VS., a new gallery show at The Windup Space during the month of June. An opening reception for VS. takes place Friday, June 5 from 7-9 p.m. at the bar, music and arts venue located at 12 W. North Ave. in the heart of the Station North Arts and Entertainment District. The show closes July 31.

Each of the 14 artists in the exhibition will interpret the theme of conflict from a fine art perspective. It may be literal -- Bigfoot vs. Cookie Monster -- or conceptual -- Nature vs. Nurture.

For more information about The Windup Space, visit http://www.thewindupspace.com/.

Here is a small preview but they will be individually framed for the show (13 x 19. ) They were a lot of fun to work on and look forward to seeing everyone's work this Friday!

Art Institute demo piece...

Here is a piece done for a small workshop demo at the AI of Washington DC. It was a collaborative demo along side couple of friends/co-workers from Firaxis Games (Aaron Yamada Hanff & Piero Macgowan). We each did a piece for the demo and discussed about the work and our individual process. Was a great weekend meeting new artists and getting together with our friends and spending time in the downtown Arlington/DC area.

Long time no post mini-dump

It's been some time since I posted anything on this blog. But here are some updates from a project I was working on while I was over at Big Huge Games. I was mainly working with the Wii project and it was very fun/interesting. Learned tons and since past October I have been working at a new company down the street (Firaxis games) and enjoying it very much. More great talent and inspiration :)

*Updated* Robo-Mode/ MGS4 is AWESOME!!!

*Updated* Here is the final Robo image.

Let's see, recently been quite busy at Big Huge Games and enjoying it very much and bought/finished playing MGS4! If you guys haven't picked it up yet go out and buy a copy....borrow one from a friend who already finished it, or rent it! It is by far the best version of the MGS series and is extremely worth the wait. I'd say one of the best few reasons to own a PS3. Gorgeous graphics, awesome gameplay, great tracks, and the story is the best part of it all.

Hope everyone is doing well!

Rough Sketch

I decided to sketch my next character using the blue Col-Erase pencil since I have been using digital for as long as I can remember. It's nice to go back and forth every once in awhile. But will start painting in this guy very soon here and will start tweaking several areas. Can't wait to color this dude. Cheers!
